Today, off work and bored decided to try the one possible upgrade I,d been putting off for ages.
dedicated power supply , one quality socket properly earthed, wired independently with no switching.
Waited till late to try it out, quiet mains time ( usual time I like to chill and listen )
what a difference a days work makes.
fantastic results , with high end detail just gone up about two notches let alone one.
love it ! , will worth the hammer rash chopping out the socket box.
Anyone else done this and had an improvement, don,t want to turn it off.

Congratulations on the great results! I've been wanting to do this myself for quite some time.

thanks very much, all achieved without throwing silly money at it.
cable standard stuff ( 2.5mm twin and earth ) and a top quality standard socket, not one of those that costs you more than your system
very happy with results and managed to do it without hardly any plastering needed, bonus!!, wife happy about that.

Hi Michael

Is the new socket 'piggy backed' from another socket?

Hi DB

From what little I remember from a course I did about 5 years ago, as long as you are just adding to an existing ring and not adding one then you are OK, is that still the case?
