I've had a bit of rejigging to do to make everything fit.
Out has gone the Uniti and in comes the Rotel RCD 965BX, and absolute steal at 40 quid for a near minter..........anyway, after scratching my head I finally realise that I can connect the Rotel directly to the Proprius amps DUH! and the same for the RP6 via the phono stage - good news is that Mr. Postie is delivering the Reflex tomorrow Big smile so any review will hopefully make more sense.

The amps have been cooking away since yesterday and moved into position this afternoon and I have only had time to spin Dire Straits 'Telegraph Road' on cd and vinyl, Mike Oldfield Crises on cd and Keane 'Strange land'.
What is obvious from the start that these amps do not hide flawed recordings/pressings. Normally Keane plays superbly but the Proprius has found it out! I'm sure this is the pressing as the cd plays fine, although I will be checking on the RP6's setup at the weekend just in case. Dire Straits took on a new found depth I've just not heard before, the 3d image was 'visibly' larger with drums, guitars, keyboards and vocals finding their own space within the soundstage. Following each instrument was easy and this was also true of the cd version.
I know Crises like the back of my hand - I am on my second vinyl copy as I wore out the original (even though I still have it). Anyone who knows the climax to the title track will know that there is a lot going on and beats a lot of very good amps into submission, the Proprius took everything in it's stride revealing more than I thought possible....oh happy days!.
I've had to leave it at that because SWMBO is giving me daggers but I will get going again at the weekend when the Reflex should have warmed up a bit.

I know that feeling.

After the Reflex purchase (and a couple of other things) I've got to keep a low profile, my wife thinks I've actually bought these amps already! Shocked No dear they're loaners.......honest
