After exchanging emails with Graham I thought that I would join this forum. I bought the SRG II from Audio affair on 30 days home approval with a HD650 and was so impressed that I decided to keep it.
I started out in the world of hi-fi in 2002 with an Arcam CD72 and Naim Nait, using a Rega Ear as the headphone amp, then this year I received a tax rebate and decided it was time to upgrade my source. I ended up with Naim CD51-2 and a set of Neat Motive 1 speakers but found that the Rega just was not good enough anymore, I picked a cheap Pro-Ject headbox which , for the money, was very enjoyable but again did not hit that spot. A helpful poster referred me to the Graham Sleep and the rest is history.  After a lengthy burn in (around 100 hours) the initially harsh sound improved. I was, and remain, impressed by the level of detail, low distortion and ability to follow guitar leads and drum rolls. As the CD5i-2 has Din and RCA connections I have the Slee connected up with a pair of Chord Chameleon 2 and then switch between outputs via the remote. I do have a valve headphone amp for when I play some heavy blues rock
I mainly use the HD650's, which I think gives a good combination, though it can be a little unforgiving at exposing the flaws in certain recordings.  I tried and disliked the Grado SR80i (really uncomfortable and fatiguing, though I did enjoy some of the acoustic Le Zeppelin tracks from House of the Holy)  and I tried the Beyerdynamic TP-50 with the Slee but hated the sound, too bright, tinny and hard (no warmth or bass) am tempted by AKGQ701  I also have a set of German Maestro headphones bought on a whim, which do not get much use these days .

Judging by the times, day and night, Graham posts on here, I doubt he gets much of that!Wacko
You'll not regret the purchase.

Thanks for the welcome. I notice that oldage travellor is using a Roksan Radius in partenership with his Naim equipment. I saw the Roksan in a hi-fi shop the other day( after I snuck out of a particualry dull seminar on cloud computing) and thought it looked grear. Does it partner well with a Naim set up
