Hi All,
My Twenty5.22 speakers arrived today. They're set up on the dedicated PMC stands (not sure they're any better sounding than the Atacama stands I herald them on, but they look great). After having the same loudspeakers for seventeen years, the change is really refreshing, and I'm hearing my electronics being unlocked and delivering their best.
I've always thought my Slee kit was excellent sounding and terrific value, but I didn't realise it was THIS GOOD!

The PMC speakers really do make a wonderful match for the Graham Slee electronics.
I think my system is complete. :)
Mick.

I have the PMC Twenty.23 powered Grahams kit. I'm tempted to see what the difference is with the Twenty5.23, Grahams kit will be a constant for a long time in my system. I agree Graham Slee electronics work very well with PMC speakers.

Hey Gary,
My experience listening to the two series is that the Twenty5 series is both more detailed and more rich sounding. Much better integrated across the frequency spectrum, too. When shopping for these I listened to the 21, 22, 23 and 24 in both versions. My observations were the same for all four.

The bass seems cleaner and more textured, the midband sounds smoother and more detailed, subtle dynamic shifts are better portrayed and the treble has better dispersion ( less of a sweet spot for listening).

Mick.

I've had Proprius amps driving my PMC GB1i speakers for a number of years now. Great sound!

That was my experience last year when I replaced 17 year old floor standing Tannoys with a pair of Twenty.23s, not heard the Twenty5 series but I've read good things about the .22 and .23 in particular.

Currently running in a new cartridge - a Cadenza Red - which is sounding good through the Reflex C. Only done 40 hours so far but when fully run in would be interested to compare this performance with that of the new Accession MC.

I tried the previous kontrapunk when I bought my cartridge it was very good but preferred the sound of my final choice and something felt more comfortable at using a lower tracking weight though sure not evidenced based!!! Should be very good I would have thought and benefit from an accesssion MC or otherwise!

I have a pair of PMC fact 8 speakers which really do bring out the best in Graham's gear. I would recommend them to anyone however, they aren't cheap, I bought mine second hand with £2000 off. As a company PMC produce both studio monitors and domestic speakers and are based in Luton. Their main designer evidently worked for the BBC at one time and he certainly knows what he's doing! All the write-ups are consistently good. But listening is the true test!
