I have been a lifelong fan of Sennheiser headphones and a while back bought a pair of HD600's and have been disappointed from day one. I have a Novo hooked up to my high end system with vinyl as main source (beautiful SME10). I just couldn't get to grip with these cans, I then auditioned a few other top brands but to no great avail. Recently I was noodling round the back of my system and noticed amongst all the really top class cables I'm using, there was a £5 phono lead connecting the Novo to my amp (a stunning Lavardin IT) this was clearly doing me no favours at all. I noticed on the Graham Slee website they are now doing cables, I had a very informative chat with John and decided to invest in a pair of Lautus phono leads and upgrade to a PSU1 on the Novo. On John's advise I plugged the PSU1 straight in the wall and not into my power conditioner. I have to say the transformation has been remarkable, suddenly my HD600's have come to life, great staging, incredible detail and tight drum sounds. As a drummer I always use the drums as a reference point when listening to music, and on some great old Steely Dan and Billy Joel albums where the drums are so well recorded (and played) they sound fab! I tend to listen at quite low levels (including through speakers) the Lavardin delivers detail in bucket loads and now, so too, does my little Novo which has re-established my faith in Sennheiser.

Thanks Mr Slee.Tongue
