This guy plays a guitar like no-one I've heard before, you can get a taste of his style on U Tube playing "Air Tap" from his album "Fates".
Worth a listen,the harmonics are fantastic !

Just had a look at this.
WOW Cool. This guy is fantastic!

If you're into guitars you've got to take a look.

A couple of my old favourites are Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, but being a bass player I have to say check out Billy Sheehan and Stanley Clarke... Cool Awesome!

Looks to me like he's played before.

Playing like Jeff Healey does - on his knee.

Anyway, that brings us nicely to Booga.  Who?  Anyone heard of Ezio?  www.ezio.co.uk for a bit of info.  Booga is the big Kenyan chap who plays with Ezio and is about as good as it gets in my opinion.  We're talking acoustic guitars, so (John C) you won't like him if you like Satriani/Vai!  Struggled to find anything useful on youtube but you could look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYEq7Tx5CaY to get a visual on the band (though there's no real guitar work - you need an album or to see them live to get the full effect).

Joe Satraini is also my favourite. Also, don't forget SRV on blues. Fantastic! Jimi Hendrix and Richy Blackmore, anyone?

An under rated guitar player, who just happened to be Steve Vai's mentor is Frank Zappa. A musical genius in his own right.

Also, someone who didn't make it outside of the San Fransisco scene is John Cipollina, of Quick Silver Messenger Service. His guitar has a distinct sound to it.I just love the 25 minute version of Who Do You Love on  "Happy Trails".  John Cipollina and Gary Duncan try and out do each other, it's like a guitar battle on stage Thumbs%20Up .
 Definitely worth checking it out.

Also, not sure how many of you have heard of Wolfgang's Vault, I think its .com, not sure I always just click on it when they send me a new notice that they have added some concerts.

Anyhow, it's from Bill Graham's personal collection of all the shows where he was the promoter. They go though and only try and put on there the good copies. It's free to join, no spyware, they do not give your email to anyone. They have their own media streamer, which is the best I have ever seen. Sound quality is pretty descent considering.

They offer some shows for sale, and they sell t-shirts, posters and whatnot.

A very wide selection from mid 60's to the mid 90's.
