Mismatch somewhere Dave. No additives in the Cusat50 to cause brightness.

Thanks Graham,I kind of asumed that the cheap cable had a higher capasitance and was rolling the treble off more than the"Cusat".

Dear Graham and co,I'm an idiot!i found lots of poor soldering around the volume control and selector switch,and yes i wired the whole lot 23years ago!.
So now to listen to the"Cusat" again. Sorry for mucking up the review.

Yes fine with me,it was only when looked at the fault/problem as a audio service engineer that i realised what a mess the wireing was in!.
The other thing is how different the sound is in "the music room" [much harder] compared to the house in London. Just off to listen to your cable.

Hi Dave
Your story in the previous postings highlights the benefits of the loan scheme...if you had just briefly heard the cable in a demo or somewhere else, you would have instantly formed the wrong opinion. At home you have enough time to explore all the possibilities over the two week period and really get to know the product. Happy listening |
