At present I connect my Novo via the tape out of my present integrated. But I'm looking to upgrade and I'm finding the higher up the quality ladder I go, the scarcer tape out gets. I don’t want to find myself stuck with an onboard socket as I use my headphones quite a lot, any advice would be much appreciated.

Your Novo should have RCA output so it can be daisy chained between, say, a phono pre-amp or outboard DAC and an integrated amp.  This may or may not help, depending on your application and clearly limits your headphone listening to that particular source.  I had output RCAs added to my Solo headphone amp so I could use this particular configuration… however, my integrated has tape(record)-out plus a secondary record-out and that is what I am currently using for my Solo.

Hi Kevin, I've got about 2k to spend give or take, the Marantz range ticks all the boxes but the higher end are approaching their sell by date, if I bought one and they replaced it a few weeks or months down the line I'd sulk, and the lower end would not be an upgrade. I quite like the Hegel H95/H120 or the Arcam SA20/30 but no tape out.

With the Arcam, you can use the pre-out sockets.
But you would need to mute the speakers using the button on the front panel of the amp, and control the headphone volume using the Arcam volume. 

There is a way around it.

With the Hegel, it needs a 6.35mm plug in the headphone plug to mute the speakers, but the variable RCA output stays live.

I suggest that when you try the amplifiers you have listed, you take your Novo along with you, and check that it works before parting with any cash.

Continuing with Graham Slee ought to be a consideration. The combination  of Majestic and Proprius are superb giving.the connections you want. OK the list price is over your target but with a bit of canny buying near new, you could easily come within budget (I say that from experience). Superb sound quality, build quality up with the best and reassurance of back up from experts on hand.
