Less is more with those velvet type brushes that have a little bottle of fluid. If you accidentally put too much fluid on the record and you can hear it, it means you just need to RCM clean the record with distilled water. The record should be basically dry after wiping...usually the fluids have some amount of alcohol in them that will evaporate.

Good evening all - I have found a new rabbit hole and I need help… I seem to be getting through AT cleaning fluid at a reasonable rate and I have followed your previous recommendations of ultrasonic cleaners:
P******t VC-E2
Humminguru
Velvet Vortex
Degritter
Nessie
…to name but a few… phew!
I like the idea of getting a dry record at the end, but I’m going from £200 to £2000 and clearly need to be fully certifiable to be considering anything beyond this.
I’m hoping to find something that’s not an eyesore and can actually be stored in a vaguely discrete manner…
All help welcomed, please.

If I were starting again on the search for a really good rcm, I think I'd try invest in  Nessie, superb engineering, well made, quiet, looks good and does a fantastic job.  However, £1,800 is a significant amount to justify.
My budget solution, 2nd hand Moth rcm and Velvet Vortex u.s. works just as well (from my tests) and cost about £450.  But, it's big, bulky, noisy and SWMBO is not a fan.
For about the same cost, the Humminguru gets a lot of good reviews and makes a nice neat solution.
Good hunting!

I'm really impressed with the Sonic Broom. Wish I'd known about this years ago, would have saved me money. Bought a lot of different products in the past, all with varying degrees of success.
It may of even made me think twice about buying a rcm. My mate as just bought one after borrowing mine to clean a couple of records.

Some of those cleaners are not ultrasonic but vacuum RCM cleaners. Ultimately you have to decide what the best option is for your needs. I'm in the ultrasonic camp but used a vac-based RCM for years before that.

Of the ones you listed I would avoid the VC-E2 as a number of people have reported issues with the wand and the bearing that helps spin the platter going bad.

The Degritter looks nice but it's extremely expensive. I would read the return policy very closely before buying in case you don't like it and want to return it.

Agreeing with David I got pretty good results from a brush and suck cleaner (Okki Nikki) if I took care. An automated ultrasonic with drier is easier. Mine is compact but much more expensive.

Just to emphasise the point about the benefits of cleaning lps. This is a view of the crud collected when filtering the cleaning fluid from my Velvet Vortex us cleaner, after about 40 albums.  Note that all these albums had previously subject to a thorough rcm clean and then a dry brush swipe before each play so the crud comes from apparently clean vinyl. All would go to contribute noise and build up on a stylus.
One benefit of the VV cleaner is that the big tank  can be emptied and the fluid filtered and reused without impairing the effectiveness for probably 80-100 albums, depending on whether they are new or s/h. Tim at VV supplies the recommended mix for the cleaning fluid, all components available to be  bought on line
