Cable Type of ICs

We're currently searching for a more flexible alternative to the CT100 to make a tone-arm interconnect cable. Having obtained a good quality SME type arm plug, we hope to work in conjunction with Starbrandz, our USA distributor, in offering a much needed alternative tone-arm interconnect.

We tried a couple of plasma grade video cables including this one from Van Damme

We've tried it as a fixed arm cable on a Hadcock and also as a headphone extension cable. In a "double-blind" test I found it directional (in the direction of the print on the jacket). In both cases it seems a little bright, possibly because of the insulation's tight grip on the signal conductor.

So we're still looking. It has to be below 70pf per metre to make an arm cable of usable length.
