Wimberley, TX (Feb. 13, 2021) – "It is with great sadness that we announce that Rupert Neve, whose name is synonymous with quality audio recording equipment worldwide, has died."

A solid innings. R.I.P. Rupert.

oddly enough I came across a dvd yesterday, a documentary of sorts about Sound City. The studio used one of Neve’s recording desks, one of only four made apparently, when new it cost $75k.
It was an excellent and very informative video to watch, and listen to, as it featured bands such as Fleetwood Mac, Nirvana, Tom Petty, Rick Springfield etc.
Don’t know where or when I came by this dvd but I’m certainly glad I did.

I don't do mediocrity!

🤗 At least they managed to save the desk and re-use it.
