Just thought I’d post my recent experience. Have had a loan Accession MC and Enigma PS for a couple of weeks as my Audion valve preamp is SO noisy. The Accession had been loaned out several times but the PS was brand new.
First couple of days, very disappointed- sounded dull/flat/thin. I thought I’d be returning it early. However after 3 days I tried again and the difference was amazing. By the end of two weeks I’m a total convert. Very full frequency range, fantastic detail and sound staging, very quiet. Unit return and Order placed. Can’t wait! Thanks to John C for his help and interest, a great scheme for trying at home.
