This time last year I bought a Rega RP3, being on a budget I bought it refurbished without a cartridge. I bought an AT95e, to get back to playing vinyl again. Now I'm looking to upgrade, but with what? My budget is around £150, so my first thoughts are an AT440mla but now there's a 'b' option/replacement? Other options I've thought about include Ortofon 3m blue and Clearaudio Concept V2. Alternatively I could get an upgraded stylus for the AT95e! I've also been recommended to go for a Denon DL110. All these options will be connected to my GA2se. What do you guys think I should do? I'm open to any other options obviously. Thanks in advance. |

The Rega Elys 2 is well regarded with the RP3 & there's also the Grado Prestige Gold. The Elys should have the advantage of easily matching the Rega arm geometry. Good luck. ------------- Majestic/Enigma, Accession MM & MC. |

I can recommend the Rega Elys 2 as that's what I have in my Rega Planar3 and I got mine for £100.00 and the dealer fitted it for me(mind you I think he allowed me £20.00 against the cartridge I traded in)That should leave you a couple of bob to buy some vinyl.
