Vinny Peculiar : Down the Bright Stream and Return of The Native.

Vinny has been described as "An undersung National Treasure" and "The missing link between Ray Davis and Roger McGough" and the one that resonates with me ‘If Tony Hancock had made pop records they’d have sounded like this’

A singer songwriter who tells you about his life, warts and all.
As we were childhood friends, i hear my own life in some of his lyrics.
No Music, No Life!

The others I have (all on CD) are Kindness of the World, Trampoline, and Murder of Crows. I agree, everything I've heard of his is good. They all have an interesting 'feel' to them. Unique, I'd say, which is always a good thing. I'm looking forward to picking up the new one on vinyl.

Hey, Paul, thanks for the tip. I just listened to The Grove and the Ditch on YouTube. Good stuff, I like it.

Agreed, each record is unique in "feel" (musically and lyrically). Don't miss out on Fuse and Civilians.

I recently discovered Rickie Lee Jones debut album from 1979. I was able to locate a 2008 RTI copy remastered by Steve Hoffman & Kevin Gray in NM condition. Wonderful!
