Having recently jumped headlong back into the vinyl world after a very long abscence ... I'm looking at about 8 shelves worth of CDs and a 1/2 shelf of vinyl.

I've started trawling ebay (as you do) and wandering into Charity shops (goes with the territory I guess) ... I normally have a list of CDs I'm looking to buy, but don't, as yet, have a list of vinyl to go for.

I'm into Sphongle, Eat Static, Higher Intelligence Agency, Orb, Orbital etc, have a penchant for well recorded stuff like Jennifer Warnes Famous Blue Raincoat, Chris Rea, Pink Floyd. Enjoy Blues, Rock and Folk, Acoustic Guitar stuff etc etc....

Can anyone suggest anything in the well recorded vinyl category I can keep an eye open for.

Hi Sol,

One of my many all time favorites that I have on vinyl but have never heard on any sort of quality equipment is Triumvirates "Spartacus". I can't even imagine how good it would sound on something worthy of hearing it on.

Another would be Focus III. With " Answers? Questions! Questions? Answers! " and "Anonymus II". Or Moving Waves with Hocus Pocus.
As much as I like Hocus Pocus, I'd have to side with Focus III over Moving Waves. Answers, is a journey all by itself. It starts off at point A and takes you for a 25 minute trip and drops you off right where you started. Wink
Thanks Sol.... now tomorrow I'm gonna have to dig out my tape collection just to hear them. Censored

try some 'tower of power' stuff. The bass playing is fantastic! Funky!
