It didn't take me too long to get used to my rose tinted glasses. I find they're a great help when reading HiFi mags!

I liked your reference to glasses I can remember when I had my first varifocals it took me over three mouths to get use to them but now I wouldn't go back (I nearly did but a mate said it took him 3 mouths so I persevered). As for my GS cables there is no way I'd go back to my old ones. It's great you can try before you buy.

That optician reference made me wonder how spectacles would be constructed and advertised by certain other hifi manufacturers...

Obviously. However, by selecting reference points where mood doesn't come into it, we can then hear a difference if there is any. A bit like calibrating test gear. |

My point is that the brain is able to adjust.
A good example of this is when you change your prescription for glasses. It may seem strange at first, but after a few hours/days/weeks, you get used to it. Is it the same with a cable?
