This cartridge buying addiction has to stop! Beware, Andrew, the slope gets slippier (Confused) as you go on . . .

If that's the case Bob, then you had better budget for an Accession MC at the same time & blow the retirement funds Wink - you know it makes sense.

Bob too? Wink

£159 is a bargain for how it sounds IMO.
Only a bargain if it's better than I already have. I don't understand how it could improve on the 150ANV that we both own?

Now you're tantalising us! As an aside I saw a battered SL1200/II at £849 in a local pawn brokers, arguably not very good VFM.

I've not compared it as the 530 is on a deck left with us for testing something so I can't do an AB, but I'm quite impressed by its neutral sound - very open and natural - and the placing of instruments on a 3D soundstage projects them to their correct perspective, if you get my meaning.

It's a good candidate for cartridge "rolling" IMO, and would not be a waste of money.
That none should be able to buy or sell without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps

Hi Everyone! First post!

I do love the Technics 1200. Its build quality is superb. Is there a Graham Slee phono preamp that best matches the 1200? I bought a Schiit mani, but it's a bit on the noisy side and it isn't the giant killer that people make it out to be.

Also, do Nagaoka or Shure cartridges sound good with Graham Slee products or should I be looking for something else?

Thanks!!
