I was about to ask this as well. It's really nice! Is that walnut and oak? It may be obvious to others, but I don't know my woods very well.

Yes, it is custom made by a relatively local cabinet maker who just 'got it' when I described what I wanted.  Another one didn't get it at all.  The look is all his idea, I just specified the functionality.

There are some really neat magnetically held dividers in the LP section.  I never really thought about using the drawers for CDs but when he delivered it he showed me some loose bits of wood, that should i want to use them, would divide each drawer into four sections each exactly the width of a jewel case.

There is space behind the drawers for the PSUs to sit on the floor and the back of the shelf holding the Reflex and Proprii is open to allow access for cables as well as airflow.

I specified that the the turntable shelf should look as though it's part of the unit even though it is completely separate.  I think he did good job.

Yes, it is oak and walnut (I think, but I really should check with him).

Very smart unit, Ifor.

I was minded of my first piece of hi-fi furniture which was also a bespoke unit manufactured very local to you in the village of Clanfield.

It was a 3-tiered unit in elm - there was a lot of elm available in the late 70s due to the prevalence of the Dutch disease - with a Pioneer turntable on top, an A & R A60 in the middle and record storage below.
