Solo ULDE: Maximum Input Voltage?

One more curiosity for Graham...

I once read that the UL module "works best at a fixed (higher) gain than the amplification module of the classic non-UL Solo, so some input attenuation is used".

Would it be possibile to just reduce the input attenuation on a UL Solo as a custom mod by simply exchanging a couple of resistors? Let's say that on a standard unit the attenuation factor is "X"... Would it be possible for example to have X/2? Would it cause trouble to the UL module (clipping, saturation, etc) when high level sources are used, or it simply would provide more overall "gain"?

I had to remove the attenuation to reduce the S/N ratio as demanded by our far-eastern customers who wanted to use it with IEMs. At that point it became the ULDE.
That none should be able to buy or sell without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps
