I like the text on their Technology page now "The remainder of this section is under review".

Translation:  "We are trying to think up a new way of describing this bullsh*t that'll fool the ASA" LOL

I suppose £25 is OK for a bit of foam in a cushion cover.

We all have to be careful that we don't upset anybody by making claims that cannot be substantiated. The point made about the Patent is useful. If a patent is granted, then the ASA will see that as substantiating claims. Having worked with a patent application engineer I found how hard it is to persuade the UK Patents Office about claims. They are very strict and all advertisers should I believe get some similar experience. It may not always work. I think I'll be regularly reviewing what I say.

It is getting quite hard to advertise these days in part thanks to those who go one step beyond.

I can empathize with that.  I've just been rewriting the Lautus and Spatia pages to present things in a more scientific way.

I have been accused by a couple of people recently for snake oil and that's why I wrote the blog article.

The daft thing is I base my cable work on the EMC Information Centre guidance! I have to sign off that our products meet CE! I know the penalty is six months in prison! I know there's also a £2000 fine!

So you can bet your bottom dollar I research like hell!

I'm a registered member at http://www.nutwooduk.co.uk/

I'll also link to this page which lists one of the guys the ASA has used to expose another manufacturer... http://www.nutwooduk.co.uk/default.aspx?id=18

I still have some cheap, Walmart cables on my system. I need to audition cables to see the difference!
