"Here to help"
Bruce                  (to skip through this, read the bold print.)

 I love music.

I played a fife (small flute) from age 8 through age 10 in a marching band,
the Coggeshall Fife and Drum Corps.
(Coggeshall Elementary School was in Newport, Rhode Island... now an apartment building.)
I played a bugle in the Boy Scouts for many years.
And I played a trumpet from age 10 through age 14 in a school marching band, a school full orchestra, and in small brass ensembles at Thompson Junior High School in Newport. I have acquired an ear for well-played, in-sync rhythm, good harmonic tones and chords, and the best sound quality in music.
At age 15 I started listening to music more than playing, but still enjoyed singing in church and other social gatherings... like singing Christmas Carrols around the neighborhood just for fun.

PS: Having some electronics engineering experience in:
yes, I designed and built complete systems as follows...
Transmitting and Receiving circuits and antennae of radio & TV communications up to 5kW of:
SW + AM + HF + FM + VHF + UHF + microwave; digital controls of all systems, sound reinforcement systems, Muzak second channel audio (SCA FM = "elevator music"), security alarm systems, fire alarms, nurse-call systems, automotive electrical systems, and recently 20 years in medical electronics design and maintenance...
I recognize a well designed circuit of many kinds.

Music and sound reproduction are my favorite hobbies for over 50 years.
I have built my own stereo system from FM tuner through to power amplifier.
I made my 1st turntable with a tube amplifier at age 15.
The turntable had an idler wheel drive and a crystal mono cartridge (at 5gms VTF !).
The FM tuner is still going (from a kit) 25 years; the preamp has been replaced a few times;
the power amp (from a kit) is 45+ years old now... It needs to be rebuilt again after 24 years when I rebuilt it in 1996 with higher grade parts.
The 20+ years cycle seems apparent for power amps due to power supply capacitors "aging".
Still fine tuning speaker designs, many tried.

Graham Slee products are among the best for design simplicity, lasting quality, and cost.
And Graham's designs are "ear tested" for sound quality,
in addition to audio analyzer tested to meet or exceed published specs.
I expect Graham Slee products to out last most of similar units available today.
