I may be able to assist with a lower cost temporary solution until a GSP preamp or Majestic is added.
I use one of these which I bought many years ago (now discontinued but the Amazon link at the bottom is basically the same at 3-way not 4). It is used for switching between a second turntable & SACD into the Majestic analogue input & does the job well - seems to have no detrimental effect. |

I think there's a choice Bob. "LF switch RCA and XLR". |

That's a great deal less expensive than the Dodocus offerings! And knowing your high standards, Andrew, your recommendation shows it to be very worthwhile.

Thanks Andrew. You rate it as good enough for two phono stages into Majestic? |

I am definitely very picky about how my system sounds Bob but I found a long time ago with this hobby that just because something does the job well at low cost it isn't necessarily bad even though we like to convince ourselves of the opposite!
GSP products are a case in point.

Not sure about that Ifor - my main TT/Accession & the Majestic go straight into the DEQX preamp whereas the second TT/Reflex & SACD are via this switch box but sound excellent nevertheless. I guess adding something else in the chain must have a tiny impact but it's probably unnoticeable.

Thanks. The reason for asking is that, at long last, I'm getting close(ish) to purchasing a Majestic. Proprii will be further down the line.
At present I have two TTs feeding a Reflex M via a Rek-O-Cut switch. Somewhere I've got a couple of intermittent issues; feedback hum and right channel cutting out (I think with both TTs, but not with digital sources). My suspicion is that the problems are with the switch. Ultimately a dual Accession feeding the Majestic would be good, but that's a way off for product development and financial reasons. So, I'm thinking of adding a Genera alongside the Reflex with a downstream, rather than the current upstream, switch to feed the Majestic. |
