It has been a while since I ran MM, and I have never run a Goldring 1042, but I received a question for someone wanting to borrow a phonostage, who asked what the "Sweet Spot" in the range was for a 1042.

I am hoping there is someone here who can answer this question based on their experience?

Can I check which range? Is it downforce in which case I suggest 1.75g. Capacitance depends on system but try 0pF and then 100pF if needs more treble.

I should have been clearer.
The sweet spot in the GS Phono Stage range.

Thanks for the response though. Thumbs Up

Sorry Kevin I should have read your post as carefully as I was watching the Test. The Reflex M worked very well with mine.
