Does that mean i have to use certain cables in order for me to hear a difference with the Slee?

Currently my setup is:

Technics 1210GR with Audio Technica VM750SH stylus 

(Then from RCA) to

ART Phono Preamp

(Then from RCA) to

PC Which has an M Audio 2496 PCI Soundcard

Wasn't too happy with the quality of the ART Phono Preamp so wanting to swap it with another Preamp and am wanting to get the Graham Slee Gold. Will this be a good replacement for the ART? I won't need to get another amplifier at all to adjust recording level on the PC? I know that Graham Slee doesn't have a gain control for recording level but can I just adjust that within windows when doing recording? I won't need another amp added to the recording chain at all no?

On the rare occasion I make a needledrop I do it that way. However, sometimes you can have a record that's really hot (like a 12'' single for club play) and depending on the cartridge you are using (e.g. a DJ cartridge) it can be helpful to attenuate the input signal before it reaches the computer. 

If you need to do that, you would probably want to go with an Accession M, as it has a volume control and 2 sets of outputs - fixed and variable controlled by the volume control. 

It also has a switch for different capacitance settings, which isn't available on other models like the ERA Gold V or the Reflex M (which I have). 

I think I responded to you on another forum, but besides having a good phono preamp, you really want to make sure those records are sparkling clean before you start recording. IME that means a vac-RCM with a good, strong commercial enzyme based cleaner or one of the newer ultrasonic type machines that a lot of folks have moved over to. 

It may be worth saving for if that is the model that is going to meet your needs the best. You can always order direct if you have a problem finding the model locally. I don't know where you are based but depending where you live there is also the loaner program where you can try out any G.S. equipment for an in-home trial.

You want it loud enough, but not so loud that the signal clips into the red. Note that you will technically have to check every record if you want to set the volume precisely since not all records are cut at the same volume. 

When it comes to recording whats your method? Like the way you are doing it? Are you using a Reflex M from Turntable to also go straight into a soundcard like mine which has RCA inputs?

How important is it to add the PSU1 Enigma? What will that give me? is it worth it?

I think the best way to record is directly from the preamp output. I have tried it both from the preamp output and the from rec out jacks of my integrated amp. From there RCA cables run into a USB audio interface, which goes into the USB input of a fanless, battery powered PC laptop running Audacity. 

Since I don't do much recording from vinyl I think other folks would give you better advice. Morris Minor and some other members do a lot of recording may have some insight for you. 

I really don't have time to needledrop all my vinyl so I only do it when I have an album that was never released on digital or CD or something like that. I have so much music here that when I'm not listening to records I'm listening to FLACs or CDs so recording all the vinyl is just not a priority for me. I can understand why some folks would want to do it though. 

RE: the PSU1 Enigma, I haven't tried it so I can't help you there either. There are a few threads on the Enigma here that you can check for comments. 

The integrated amp I use is irrelevant and not necessary for recording. 

I would recommend you set up a chain as follows:

Turntable > phono preamp > USB interface or computer soundcard.
