FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS AUDITIONED BOTH THE REFLEX M AND ACCESSION...WHAT ARE THE SONIC DIFFERENCES.  IS IT WORTH THE UPGRADE FROM THE REFLEX M...THAT'S WHAT I OWN NOW.  PREFERRED IT TO THE ERA GOLD.  PARTICULARLY LIKE TO HEAR FROM SOMEONE WHO OWNS THE ACCESSION..AND FROM GRAHAM SLEE.

I upgraded from the Reflex M (I had the multi-eq version) to the Accession M and think it is definitely worth the extra.

I owned the Reflex M for five years, and had the Accession MM on loan for three weeks. During that time I found it gave more focus to voices and instruments within the soundstage, and everything felt a bit more relaxed at the same time. The soundstage was also deeper. I also very much enjoyed the option of running it directly into my power amps.
I am now awaiting the delivery of an Accession MC. It will front my vinyl only system, driving the Proprius directly. I really felt it was a worthwhile upgrade.
Mick.

Your input is helpful.  I will likely listen to it sometime in late September thru the loaner program.
That program is such a huge advantage so you can hear it in your own system.

Thank you for posting.

Hi Greg,
It’s truly magnificent that the loaner program runs. And there is zero pressure to purchase. Try it and see if it’s for you for the cost of return postage? Brilliant?
Best of luck,
Mick.

Keep the Reflex, I'm just kidding but beware, after you experience the Accession and the improvement it makes to your systems bass, midrange and treble(sound) you are going to have to have a new cartridge after all you want to get the max out of the Accession. Ka Ching. It won't take long and you are going to start searching for a new TT, something more appropriate for your upgraded system. Ka Ching. Anyway that's been my experience, treat yourself to the Accession it's got to be one of the best if not the best phono preamp in that price range. Sonically, more bass, larger soundstage and you can hear the individual instruments and it's not muddy.

Mike
