When the UK changed-over to EU RoHS compliance in 2006 they gave me and other UK manufacturers absolutely no transition period. In other words all non-RoHS stock had to be scrapped overnight!

But they gave importers two years in which they could continue to sell-off non-RoHS stock!

That was under the leadership of Rt Hon Tony Blair MP, Rt Hon John Prescott MP, and Rt Hon Gordon Brown MP.

On the 29th March this year, unless the UK Government agrees to the EU's annexation of Northern Ireland (when the UK name would cease to exist); the UK will crash-out of the EU.

If so, on the 30th March the CE mark will cease to be legal placed on goods intended for the UK market, and instead they will have to carry the UKCA mark. See https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/775889/ns020219-ukca-mark.jpg - https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/775889/ns020219-ukca-mark.jpg

There is talk about a transition period, but I wonder who that will be for?
