| l find it regrettable that some components are only available in black or silver livery & not both. It is a question of taste but for example if all your gear is black a silver component is going to stick out like a sore thumb. |

I don't think I owned any of the champagne gear but it was memorable. Well for two of us anyway! Graham's 'limited' response was making me chuckle too. We can do any colour you like (cue for a song?). However, our anodiser would charge us a set-up fee, which we'd have to recoup somehow. He can also do a textured spray finish in a number of pantone colours: similar fees. How about light blue or royal purple with gold lettering? I've always thought the natural aluminium finish of GSP kit looks superb. Still like the understated look of the Era Gold V most of all with its 'cool' central 'V'. ------------- Majestic/Enigma, Accession MM & MC. |

I think I will have to withdraw the black option. It simply isn't viable for a "Rolls Royce turnover" company (3,000 - 4,000 products a year), but with "Dacia pricing" to carry two sets of casework for every product. That seems sensible to me, it means more of the money goes on what can be heard rather than visual options. Perhaps it is familiarity but I really like the silver finish of the boxes and the way the GSP/HFC graphics have evolved. I also find it is easier to read the black text on silver, than white on black. I realise that this is all a matter of perception and cosmetics but it always strikes me that the silver boxes look more purposeful than black. My niece (a young person who understands these things) tells me that the natural metal finish has an industrial look that adds to its functionality.

I vote silver All my HiFi is black. Well not my speakers, real wood veneer. I like the way my GS stuff stands out but it's not the looks for me it's how it sounds but I think pink would be going too far. nemu you are right it does look functional. ------------- Reflex M, Solo (both with PSU-1) CuSat50, Lautus, Spatia & Spatia links cables.
