Oh come on . . .
Not another wannabe a millionaire "it's really worth 5 years equivalent of a top-end salary because it's not mass produced" BS.
He can I suppose retire after selling just 4 or 5 of those brutes, and enter the Hi-Fi hall of fame.
What about those catering for normal folk eh?

..but this one has a tangential arm, the ability to mount 5 cartridges and separate cabinet for the power supply. Not sure about the W.A.F. though...

I've not got a problem with the well off spending excessive and perhaps vulgar amounts of their money on over the top items just to be different and better than their neighbours. That is, if the money filters down the chain to pay the average person their wages. But I doubt that is the case in this example.
Anyhow, in my area Phantoms are ten-a-penny so I'm off to buy my Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf!

I was wondering if could put a couple of caterpillar tracks on it and rename it the "Tiger", but that might be politically incorrect.

I bet it costs less than quarter of a million and it looks a lot more useful (but not for playing records).
Shame about the vacant look on its face

120,00 (Euros?) for a tangential tonearm. (Slightly less for the TT it sits on . . )

Didn't they do that sort of thing in jukeboxes for a lot less money?

Meanwhile, some lucky sod has their Jaguar F-type R parked outside my flat. A stunning piece of engineering that cost less than... a tonearm!!

I've a couple of Technics parallel trackers off eBay that work perfectly well. Less than £150 the pair.
"High end" kit just get more and more outlandish. It wouldn't be quite so bad if there was some genuine innovative advance that filtered down to stuff us mere mortals could buy . . .

That does look interesting! The only other tangential arm I've seen at a similar price looked like a bit of a Heath Robinson affair. This looks, well, like you'd expect from Clearaudio.

All these air bearing arms have an ultra-thin signal wire allowing the arm to move freely, but what price shielding against EMF?

In the unlikely event any of us have deep enough pockets and the inclination to try I suppose it is difficult to say Bob. Interestingly my daughters 4g iPhone caused TV interference where as the same 3G does not. Unless a fault the RFI issues can only get worse?

I now realise why so many companies don't worry about this too much. It's because the best solution lies elsewhere.

Ah foil hats! Previously sold to protect the gullible from mind control programmes, ironic given the power of marketing used by the companies selling those products. Erm, that was the point you'd already made Dave!

Those garments are pointless. The body would have to be fully encapsulated by the absorbing material for a shielding effect to be produced. Even then, what about the ultra high velocity/energy cosmic radiation that passes through the earth (and us) every second??
and even then, why would it make a difference??

By the way, "Apolyt" seems to originate from the Greek word "απόλυτος", which means 'absolute'.
Perhaps, unimportant trivia...
