We just reached 2008 members which reminded me that we started this club forum in 2008.
Only 7 more needed to reach 2015... in 2015

I only wrote 5,760 of the 31,864 posts.
If there have really only been 63 contributors (including you) they wrote an average of 414.3492063 posts each
Don't you just love statistics?

Maybe it's because they're too used to every other forum in that anything you say is going too be ripped to shreds or argued against by the community because no one is allowed to be their own person?
I've said it before but I love the GSP forum because not only does everyone treat each other with respect (Graham's house, Graham's rules ), but because the mentality of GSP'ers is a refreshing change! There is never a flavour of the month without it being demo'd at your own home first (but it would be a lifelong relationship anyway), and none of that "shiny kit syndrome" where everyone is after the latest amp/speaker/headphones with the flashing lights! GSP IS all about the music! Graham's kit connects us to it but that is part of the journey, the music is the destination. Thanks Graham.

Tim,i take your point about other forums ,I have been on a few like that myself, but if people read through the forum they would see that we are not like that, and then they might be inclined to join in.

I've noticed, lately especially, that the music threads have taken off and the equipment threads have been taking a back seat. It shows why we do what we do - not for the sound but for getting closer to the music via greater reproductive fidelity . . .

I agree. What I meant is that they may not even start reading because of being used to others. Plus, they don't have to read through (or post on) the forum to make the most out of the home demo scheme... But I'm not trying to ruin the celebration; it would be great if more got involved. I for one don't do social media and only go to other forums for specific information. GSP is home.

Compare it to 10% of what people write on TwitFace and Booker (i.e. Social media) and you'll see it's not...

None of the playground politics here at the GSP forum unlike some others & the banal TwitFace.

If you use Twitter right it can be useful. For instance - traffic gridlock where I live: get on Twitter and find tweets by Surrey Police saying what's happened, what roads are closed. You get the news at the same time as the local radio cowboys and don't have to wait for their traffic spot.
You just have to follow the right accounts . . . But, yes, the overwhelming majority of tweets are rubbish. Having said that, "parody" accounts can be quite funny - The Queen's for instance, and Prince Charles, IDS, and No.10's Cat . . .

The government recently spent thousands a day on local radio advertising to tell small businesses to get a twatter or fookbace account because it would get them more customers (a likely story!)
They even promote these large American companies online at: http://www.greatbusiness.gov.uk/domoreonline/
I am just wondering if they'll also adverstise me free of charge. I mean, isn't it a bit wrong using British taxpayers money to give free publicity to American companies?

There are so many immoral things happening in the UK today. There are some large corporations who seem to have more influence on people than the government themselves. They're very talented at manipulative marketing and many are probably quietly breaking the law through something like tax evasion that few people know anything about.
We don't really live in a real democracy; we live in a mediocracy, where the medio- prefix represents both media controlling the thinking of people and mediocrity being encouraged in the thinking and behaviour of people.

I'd like to echo the sentiments here about this forum; civilised, constructive and not obsessed about the latest gizmo. Obviously, Graham has an interest in selling (us) GSP products but his open, even-handed approach to the subject is refreshing. I know that when Graham comments on something he means it and it'll be true. As a result I have absolute faith in my GSP boxes. 'Integrity' is the word that comes to mind.

I second your opinion; Graham has my complete trust too! Every other company is out to make excessive profits from poor quality products. Graham gives you value for money as his products are truly exceptional at any price level! That's why I for one don't look elsewhere if there is a GSP equivalent.
