Just a little humor to listen to. It did not top a chart, but it made it into top 100 bottom in the US.

Listen to the link if want a laugh.

Good song (sounds like David Gray ) but what is this thread about? List as many songs as you can remember?

I just want to join in...

"Dead Skunk" song is a favorite of mine... I threw it in here to shake things up.
Seems others are afraid to post about their pop chart favorites.
So "Hey Ya'll" let it flow. There are no criticisms to be worried about here.Wink

Sabbath's 'Paranoid' is far from their best song but it did make no. 4 in the UK singles chart
way back in 1970 & blew away much of the contemporary cr*p.

Judas Priest's brilliant pop metal 'Living after Midnight' made no. 12 in 1980 & was completely
at odds with the new wave stuff everyone was 'supposed' to be listening to at the time.
A great song, my 7" was soon worn out.

Unsurprisingly Halford cut his hair shortly after.

I distinctly remember the UK music press referring to Rob Halford as the Tim Brooke Taylor of rock at the time LOL

Another of their hits was "Raking The Lawn"

Cool
JP's hope of taking the terraces with the dismal chant-along 'United' didn't really work though.
It did make the charts & was IMO better than most of the crap at the time.

listening through a Majestic DAC from VLC Media Player via USB.
I find it about as clear sounding through the DAC as the LP I have when played through a Reflex M.

Not a chart topper by any means, in fact hardly ever played on the radio.

What was a stripped back & bare song originally in my humble opinions is now a rock classic. A bit of a guitar solo at the end by Tom Morello to say the least.

It builds, slows & rises again.

Ah! The Hollies.

Most of us more senior Wink members will be fully aware of their chart singles.
But, I acquired a large collection of albums and found their album - Butterfly.

Not at all like their commercial offerings and, perhaps, better in many ways.
