At this moment I have no disturbing actors, AFAIK, nearby my LP listeningenvironment.
Except a standard TV when switched ON; but no dimmers, PC or DVD player.
Also do use PSU1 powered Reflex and Solo.
I think my CDplayer, Marantz CD5001, has a lineair PS.

I am thinking of buying a new LCD TV. Smile
Some Q's occur to me:
- Does this LCD technic use digital/other signals in RF frequencies range?
- Are their powersupplies possibly switched ones?
So generally speaking could I get into trouble (RFI Cry) playing my analogue rig?

Thanx for reactions Han

I think these days you just have to accept that everything puts out RFI from light bulbs to TVs you just can't escape it.

In the uk someone setup an EMI testing facility deep underground in an old mine as the only way they could get a quiet background for standards testing

Oh yes SB, you're so right.
But I also know that, at least airborne RFI, will be weaker and less enoying with larger distances.
Probably also the same with 230V powerlines, but less sure about that.

Signallines IN/OUT, if digital, can probably cause some RFI, if not shielded very well.
So I can choose analog signal IN there, I suppose Wink
Digital signal going from LCD TV to other appliances should be shieded well, I guess.

Well, maybe I'll just have to try what happens if I install the LCD TV on the same spot.
Roughening up of the audiosound by RFI should possibly be very well noticed by me?
And if not (much) than I would be OK??

I don't know Confused; never heard anyone complaining, but...          Han

You'd have to because the EU won't let you use Lead anymore!
