My most expensive purchase at the time a Rega Planar 2 with R-100 cartridge for $500. I enjoyed using that TT for the next 17 years. My wonderful wife, (no longer) allowed me in 1999 to include a listening room in our newly constructed house. We moved, I never unpacked the Rega. Now in 2017 and more than 1000 CD"s, I want back in. I think the "Reflex M" is good place to start...I'm looking forward to reliving those previous 17 years.

Welcome to the forum, Hank!
Is the R100 cart you mention a Zyx R100? If so you'll need to borrow an Elevator step-up amp along with the Reflex M (or of course go for the MC-only Reflex C). You can hear recordings with my Zyx R100/Reflex M or Accession with the Elevator here.
