Hi Everyone, another new member.
I started off my vinyl path with a GramAmp2, in a 2 tone plastic box. This was then replaced by an Era Gold in the original black case. A couple of years ago I decided to experiment with a valve phono stage so bought an Icon Audio PS3, this was lovely until I decided to upgrade the valves, now I've got a lot of noise on one channel so I'm still tinkering with that. Thinking of going back to solid state so I want to try out a Reflex or Revelation, most of my music is 2nd hand classical & jazz, so the variable settings of the Revelation might be interesting to try. Rest of the kit is Notts Analogue, Musicmaker , EAR valve amp & Harbeth speakers.

Hi Andrew,
I know from long experience that the Reflex M is a superb match for the Musicmaker & would take some beating. All of my records are standard RIAA however. Just out of interest I did try out a couple of valve phono stages a few years ago, one of which was the Icon PS3 & the Reflex M was preferred. Ymmv of course! |

Welcome Andrew. I'd double Rich's praise for the MM/Reflex M combo. I have some old vinyl and bought a Revelation M which comes in handy sometimes, doing great work on RIAA most of the time.
