First off, kudos the good folks at Graham Slee HiFi!!! In a world where international shipping is a nerve-wrecking affair of delays, I received my Era Gold V two days after it left England! Amazing! So, while I realize that I have to allow for proper burn-in to fully realize the capabilities of this phono stage, let me just say that already I can hear a huge improvement over the Schitt Mani v1 that I've been using for several years now. I'm already blown away, and it's going to get better?? WOW! A bit about me ... I'm a 58 year old analog junkie, desperately trying to rebuild my vinyl collection that was lost many years ago due to Hurricane Katrina. I'm getting there, slowly but surely. My current rig consists of a Marantz TT-15s1 turntable, the lovely Era Gold V, a Parasound Halo Integrated 2.1 amp, and a pair of GoldenEar Triton 2+ speakers. Over time I hope to upgrade my rig here and there, better cartridge, better cables, better amplification, ... as soon as I can get the money Anyway, super excited to have found the good folks at Graham Slee HiFi and I'm sure I'll be a repeat customer as I continue my audiophile journey. -Errol

Welcome Errol.
Enjoy the Era Gold V, it's a great phono amp. Best wishes rebuilding your record collection after that dreadful hurricane. We get bad weather over here but generally nothing like as severe and destructive as you can get over there. Edited by RichW - 20 Oct 2022 at 3:25pm |

Hi Errol I'm very pleased to hear that you're using it from the off, and enjoying it as it settles. Some folk deny themselves and power it up, leave it powered up for 3 weeks, and then connecting it up and using it, something that I find perplexing to say the least. My experience of Graham's phono preamps is that they sound excellent from the start, and blossom with use. Enjoy yours. Welcome to the club Chris |
