I don't know if this is a really silly question, I recently got a new Rega Plannar 2 turntable, it doesn't have a grounding wire on the built in cable, I was wondering if the Graham Slee Gram Amp 2 special edition should still be connected to my Yamaha amplifier by a grounding wire, does this matter and will it cause any problems either way?
Thanks for any advice in the matter.

The Rega ground is joined to one of the signal cable screens, which works reasonably well. In my own set-up I have a Technics SL1200 where the ground is run in both signal cable screens, and there is no hum. It is all about keeping all the signal commons at the same potential. |
