This is not your usual burn in post.
As the European loan Accession MM got stolen in the post, the guys at HiFi Systems Components were kind enough to provide a new one for the loan scheme toy cupboard.

To save the first person the hassle of going through the burn in process, I decided to do it, after all, it is not like I can go out anywhere at the moment.

So I changed my system, removing by Valve pre, and replacing it with a Majestic and Enigma combination. This feeds my balanced DIY amps quite nicely. I then plugged the Accession in.

Using my EPC-U205 with Jico SAS Neo stylus,Mathis simply sounds superb. Why is burn in seen as a problem? I am really enjoying it.

Thanks Kevin. When I ran the loan scheme I used to do this with new kit I was sent. That is to let it burn in and try not to listen to it for as long as possible!

Having just sold two sets of mono block amplifiers (in the process of building a new dual mono one) I thought it would be a good time to check that a few bits of the Graham Slee European Loan scheme system work correctly.

So, out came the Majestic with Enigma PSU1 to join the Accession MM with PSU1. I then added some Proprius amplifiers. For the first time ever, I am listening to a system powered purely by Graham Slee components. There is a lovely synergy to the system, and I can now understand why people have a single brand system, especially when the brand is as good as this.

At the weekend, I need to put the toys back in the cupboard, and dig out my back up amplifier. Disapprove
Yes, on paper, it is more powerful, but I doubt it will sound as good as what I am listening to right now.

The phono stage should be burnt in by the weekend, so there is no reason to leave it in my system anymore. It will be available ready for the next European that wants to try it. Thumbs Up
