Thanks for having me!
Truth be told, I think the Solo chose me rather than vice-versa.

I've only been actively involved in headfi for about 36 months ( a new rabbit hole for my middle-aged years), but have loved music and the gear used to serve it to us for many years. I could not have appreciated the Slee gear without first gaining an appreciation of what actually constitutes high fidelity in the headfi space, through experience and much trial and error. There is a lot of crap out there, to be frank.

2 years ago I would not have bought a Solo. The timing was right when this one appeared on the radar.

I would opine that the Slee presentation, or "house sound" for want of a better phrase, is not for the uneducated listener, and I say this in all humility. It may not be immediately impressive because nothing is emphasised. Rather, it is correct.

I certainly don't think I have a "golden ear" by any means, but I've been listening to live and reproduced music for a long time and have a fair amount of experience with many different brands and different types of gear. I like to think I recognize excellence when I hear it.

So the path has led to this unassuming little box on my desk, and I shall post my thoughts just as soon as I feel we've bonded sufficiently. Let's just say that initial impressions indicate that the Solo Ultra Linear is something rather special...
