Cant take credit for this one. Read it on this forum somewhere.
Currently running an old plastic cased G Amp 2 SE. Took it apart & lined the inside of the case with bitumen/foil faced sound deadening matting. Now it doesn’t tip its front up in the air under the weight of the cables at the rear! More importantly, it’s added mass & the foil has got to help block RF & electromagnetic interference no?
I genuinely think it’s improved the performance too. Did the same to the inside of the plastic case for the outbourd DC power supply for the LP12. I wonder which made the most difference? 🤔 They are only a foot apart from each other.
