I just purchased a new RP6 and I noticed some vibration on one side of the platter. I initially thought that it was not seated correctly. Vibrations and turntables are not a good combination.
I took the deck back to the dealer who assured me that this "characteristic" would not adversely affect performance. Their demo unit exhibited similar behaviour. Any thoughts? Cheers, Chris |

Hi Chris, can I confirm some vibration means it wobbles when rotating? It shouldn't IMO. If you take the platter off and then start the RP6, does the sub-platter behave like the platter? |

Hi Chris Jon is right, and "some vibration" needs clarification. Is there any chance of some video showing the problem?

When I tap the platter around the edge, there is some vibration in one area of the platter. Previously I owned a Rega P5 which did not exhibit this behaviour.

Take it back and get a refund. There's an obvious manufacturing issue.
