I tried to rejoin the forum but reCaptcha didn't believe me when I said I wasn't a robot - darn solipsist.
This is using chrome browser on chrome os. (Note I did click the box shown below and it had a tick in it...)

... ouch, sorry about all the code in the last post, it showed as a nice image in the edit box. I'll leave it there in case it helps the tech wizards solve my problem.

Hi Malcolm. Sorry you're having difficulties. The sign-up form will remain in situ for another week in which I'm sure we'll get you through the sign-up procedure.
Chrome being Google tracks clicks for its own research. When it does that with a bot captcha, it will look like a robot is trying to register, which Mailchimp will block. Anyway, that's what seems to be happening when looking at the code beginning https://www.google.com/recaptcha... Have you a different browser you could use? One where you have disallowed tracking - they all seem to want to know your wherabouts these days - I'm sure they don't comply with GDPR... Then again, it could be a page timeout due to a broadband slowdown, which is exactly what happened to me during campaign testing. |
