As I scrabble wildly back up the greasy pole of high fidelity, I've added an expensive cartridge to the collection... I buy a lot of second-hand records, which I inspect and clean before I play. I'm considering setting up a second tone-arm fitted with a cartridge with what would effectively be a sacrifical stylus tip, in order to reduce the risk of damaging the posh jobbie, by playing an LP that has hidden and stylus-unfriendly imperfections... I'm aided in persuing this aim in that an accessory arm-board for the second arm is available to fit to my turtable. :-)
Does anyone know of a phono-stage with double inputs?

Yes Simon. I still have to finish the design, but it is called the Accession "twin". MM plus MC; MM plus MM or MC plus MC inputs can be specified.

Otherwise ICL1P knows of a switch box which is a lot cheaper to switch two inputs to one phono preamp input.
That none should be able to buy or sell without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps

What I bought was a REK-O-KUT®  LOW NOISE STEREO PHONO / AUX SWITCH < https://www.esotericsound.com/elect.htm > which is very cheap, even when imported from the US.  It worked very well, feeding two turntables into a Reflex M, for a couple of years or so and then the humming started.  I couldn't cure it (didn't know how to) so as a temporary measure I built a DAK Genera phono stage for one of the two turntables.  I now use the switch between two phono-stages to feed my Majestic Pre/DAC.

Bob (morris_minor) has pointed me in the direction of Dodocus < http://dodocus.de > and I am considering buying a switch from Konrad < http://dodocus.de/UBox2C-2.html > , but it will be much more expensive that than the Rek-O-Kut.  He also does a switch that would allow for 3 TTs feeding one phon-stage (Example 248).

I would prefer a solution from Graham, but he's not keen. CryCry
