Try to make it level and parallel (equal height along the entire length of the tonearm)
to the surface of the record on the platter. Then adjust up or down as needed. It can be only done by trial and error. You will hear when it is right, the sound will be 'fuller'.

I usually start with the cartridge "tail down" and lift it up until that fuller sound becomes evident. In my experience most Ortofon and AT MMs perform best slightly tail down.

I found that the 2M Black could be bright and fatiguing so I ended up switching to the HANA SH. Just need to get out the soldering Iron to make a 1K plug...
