Hello and welcome!
It’s always nice to welcome new members. Are you looking for a photo stage? Mick. |

Yes.
Running some old NAIM gear NAP 90 pwr amp and NAC42s pre amp but also have a NAIM NAIT5i & CD5i with no phono stage, (in another room) was thinking of buying a NAIM stageline to go with this kit but thought a Graham Slee phono stage might be nice. Bit confused about the models at the moment might like to audition one. Do you have any suggestions? seems you run a REGA P8? |

Hi Rob,
Yes, an RP8, with the Apheta 2 after quite some time with the Ortofon 2M Black. When I ran the Black it was the Reflex M all the way. When I moved to the Apheta 2 I added the Elevator EXP to the system and I’m very, very happy. I listen mostly to jazz and classical things, especially orchestral, and the MC suits me. Nail forums speak highly of Slee phono stages in my experience. There’s plenty to read on this forum though, and lots of friendly people with a huge range of experience. I always learn something new here. I think the consensus is that the phono stages have a particular sound, but as you move up the line you just get more: detail, dynamics, bass response and colour. I suppose that’s how it should be. The loan program is wonderful and I’ve trialed most of my purchases at home before buying. There’s really no danger of blowing your dollars on a bad purchase. Graham Slee’s work is firmly rooted in value for money and sound engineering. Borrow, listen, decide for yourself. Mick. |

Welcome to the forum, Rob.
As Mick said, you can't go wrong with Graham's kit, and with the loan scheme you always know what you're getting.
