It seems that I need to upgrade my cartridge first as I only have an Ortofon 2M Silver. I'm probably going to get a Nagoaka MP200. Then start saving for a GS phono stage.

I'm confused here - Ortofon 2M range doesn't have a "silver".
My 2M Black is a superb match for my Rega (but tweaked by Origin Live) tonearm into my GS Genera phono. Stick with the Ortofon for now and see just how much benefit you get from the GS kit via the loaner scheme. |
