I didn't think of a smartphone app. I use the closed HD250 linear II's  when iwhen there is background noise, they are pretty good at cutting out  background noise such as tv.

There is an IEC standard, and in it, it specifies conditions which headphone amplifiers should be designed to, and although no mention of hearing "health" is given, it can be assumed it must have been part of the remit (you'd know if you ever applied for any IEC certification).

It states that the maximum output voltage shall be 5 volts rms, and that is then via a 120 Ohm resistor, such that it gives "equal" loudness over a wide range of headphone impedances.

Try selling a headphone amplifier made to the standard...

I did. They set the dogs loose on me on Head-Fi!

How dare I? I mean headphone amps are supposed to be 10 watt power amps!

There seems to be zero understanding on forums about decibels and sound pressure levels.

But one had to oblige Ermm

That none should be able to buy or sell without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps

You make very good hifi that is safe to use and obviously standard compliant. When I bought my LCD2's the 'web wisdom' (an oxymoronic phrase I may use more often) was a 2 watt amplifier was the minimum. Nonsense, I found the Solo UL more than loud enough.

Open mind and ears whilst owning GSP Genera, Accession M, Accession MC, Elevator EXP, Solo ULDE, Proprius amps, Cusat50 cables, Lautus digital cable, Spatia cables and links, and a Majestic DAC.

I too fully trust Graham Slee's products for their safety, reliability, small size and faithful sound reproduction. They are excellent for both sound analysis and for musical enjoyment. For those who feel his products are too expensive for what they are or for what they contain, sorry, but that's the price you have to pay for low volume production and high attention to detail.
We do not see things as they are. We see things as we are.
