This is how it works:
The 24v output from the PSU1 normally comes from a hard wired twin wire (+/-) cable into the input plug for the GSP device. The modification has a second single wire (+ only) cable hard wired into the PSU1 which also terminates with the same type of plug. The return path flows via the interconnects used on your GSP devices and the rest of the system.

Thanks this isn't as expected presumably two power leads out of same plug Won't work then?
I may well leave this idea unless Graham/john ever develops a twin socketed PSU. Many thanks |

The single negative line (ground) to just one device, with continuity provided by the shield (ground) of the interconnects avoids ground loops. Twin leads from one PSU would create ground loops and the attendant hum problems.

Just listen, if it sounds good to you, enjoy it.

Best check with John that your EXP isn't the dual rail type. The single rail type will work on the same PSU1 used by another Slee, but if the older dual rail EXP you will blow a fuse. The dual rail supply was generated internally in the EXP and so it is difficult to tell which without the serial number and John C to check it for you.
