Apologies Graham

Didn’t mean to cause any trouble.

Would rather buy direct if possible

Is the pursuit High Fidelity a sign of mental illness??

Not a problem, it was a valid question and you didn't cause me any trouble.

Some of the best things I have ever bought have come from Ebay, whether .co.uk, .de or .com. My vintage Sennheiser headphones, AKG K1000 earspeakers, rare CDs and desktop PC components were bought and/or sold there. I favour listings with clear, plentiful photographs of the actual product you will receive, not manufacturer stock images like Amazon. I don't like Amazon at all and only use it as a last resort, if I can't get the stuff elsewhere. Amazon used to send me broken CD jewel cases and hosted sellers of bootleg albums that I had to return. Amazon prioritizes the ££££ and convenience over honest marketing.
