Having read this forum for a while I've come to learn that perhaps a considerable proportion of specialised and expensive audio components aren't as great as they claim to be.
I respect Graham's experience with audio and several times have smiled as I read about audiophool capacitors etc. I just wondered if any readers had built DIY speakers (as I've done) and if so what kind of components they'd used which complemented Graham's audio gear, i.e. which didn't add "artificial flavours" to the sound. For example, the foil capacitors I've used are claimed to be extremely good and wound such that inductance is cancelled, but wonder whether anyone has used stacked film types etc. |

You may also wish to try Jerry Bloomfield at falcon accoustics. Years in the trade and reasonably priced.

All wound components have inductance.
Stacked film aren't wound. And in your application can be considered inductance free. (actually stacked film is wound, squashed and the ends cut off and all welded together, so the end result isn't wound) |
