The Graham Slee model PSU1 does the best job of regulating the DC power needed by all Graham Slee phono preamplifiers.
One may find themselves trying to better his design only to find they are spending more money to do the same job... and find they could have bought a PSU1 for less money.Wink

Believe me I would have preferred to buy a PSU1 made by the master himself but I discovered that with freight to send one half way round the world, plus I suspect a rather healthy margin for the local agent, it would have cost me $499 NZ ( about 250 pounds). As a keen DIYer I decided to make my own version. Appreciate the advice offered to further refine my circuit.
Cheers
Graham.

Could either of you gents, Fatmangolf or BAK, draw up a schematic of the circuit with your mods and additions included ? A hand drawn sketch is fine, I just need to get my head around it and will redo my PSU. Thanks for your help.

Graham, I saw this on a fleeting visit and forgot to reply later. Bruce have you already sent a schematic?

Yes, Bruce has been kind enough to supply me with a very detailed schematic.
I am about to fire up my soldering iron .

And thank you for reassuring me that you have a 0.5 Amp fuse on the 240VAC hot line for safety.

Here to Help,
