Hi folks
This is an appeal to all of you chaps who know more than I re. burn in. I've just received my Cyrus 2 back from David at Amplifier Repair Service with a detailed report highlighting the fact that 17 electrolytic capacitors were replaced. The amp currently sounds very 'lean', and whilst the sound stage is still excellent (probably down to the outstanding Reflex C) the bass is weak and definition is poor. I also seem to have to crank the volume pot up much higher to achieve the same spl. Is this down to the capacitors requiring burn-in time? If so, how long should I expect to have to wait until the old girl is back on form? Many thanks for reading. Kevan. |
